Halfway Flat sits right on the river in the Lower Snowy area. Pitch your tent, walk the surrounding bush and enjoy the water when conditions are safe.
Only a few unmarked sites sit beside the Snowy River just off Barry Way. Eucalypts, cypress pines and wattles surround the camp, and a simple river walk can be as rewarding as a full activity schedule.

Getting there
Halfway Flat campground is in the southern precinct of Kosciuszko National Park. To get there: Take Barry Way south from Jindabyne for 53.3km. Halfway Flat campground is on the left, adjacent to the road. Road access: Unsealed roads; 2WD vehicles; 4WD required in wet weather.
