Newnes campground rewards the effort of reaching it with a grassy riverside setting beneath Wollemi’s sandstone cliffs. There is no vehicle access: the approach from Glen Davis is a long walk of roughly 10km.
Eucalypts and the Wolgan River give the site a striking sense of place after the trail. Treat it as a remote hiking camp, carry your essentials and check the current NPWS route advice before setting out.

Getting there
Newnes campground is on the western side of Wollemi National Park. There's no vehicle access, you can only reach it by walking in. From Glen Davis it's a long, roughly 10km walk via the Pipeline track. Vehicle access: No vehicle access Parking: There is no vehicle access to this campground.
