O’Hares occupies a former Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Scheme site. Today it offers a convenient base for time on the water and exploration of western Kosciuszko.
The site was once part of the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Scheme. Its location near the southern end of Talbingo Reservoir now makes boating, sailing, paddling and fishing the focus of a stay.

Getting there
O’Hares campground is in the western precinct of Kosciuszko National Park. To get there: From Tumbarumba. Travel 46km east on Tooma Road, then turn left onto Elliott Way. Follow Elliott Way for 24km, the campground will be on your left. From Cabramurra. Follow Elliott Way north for 24km, the campground will be on your right. Road access: Sealed roads; 2WD vehicles.
