Pebbly Beach campground is a remote coastal stop in Yuraygir National Park. Reaching it involves a high-clearance 4WD, an estuary crossing and a route that is only accessible at low tide.
The beach and isolated coastline reward careful planning, but the access is part of the trip rather than a minor detail. Check tides, weather and the latest NPWS driving advice before attempting the route.

Getting there
Pebbly Beach campground is in the southern part of Yuraygir National Park. Access to this campground includes a combination of unsealed road, dune track, beach and Saltwater Creek crossing and is suitable for only high clearance 4WDs and only at low tide. To get there: From Pacific Highway, take the McPhillips Road turn-off approximately 39km south of Grafton, or 47km north of Coffs Harbour. Continue for around 5.8km then turn left onto Barcoongere Way and follow the signs to the campground. Access to this campground is dependent on Clarence Valley Council (CVC) and Forestry Corporation road infrastructure. Before you set out, check road closures or visit the Live Traffic website.
