Shelley Head is a rewarding stop on the Yuraygir coastal walk, reached after a walk of roughly 6–7km rather than a drive to your site. Shelley Caves and Little Shelley Beach are close enough to shape a full day by the coast.
Swim, fish or continue along the walking route before settling in for a quiet night. Spring brings coastal wildflowers to the surrounding bush, adding colour to an already memorable stretch of shoreline.

Getting there
Shelley Head campground is within Yuraygir National Park. To get there via Lake Arragan campground: Take Pacific Highway north from Grafton for about 35km Continue for about 18km and then follow signs for Lake Arragan or Red Cliff campgrounds Shelley Head campground is a 7km walk north from Lake Arragan Road quality: Unsealed roads Vehicle access: No vehicle access
