This is a tent-focused shore camp reached by boat, foot or bicycle, not by car. The outlook towards McGraths Island rewards the extra effort, especially for paddlers and birdwatchers.

Getting there
Shelly Beach campground is in the Myall Lake precinct of Myall Lakes National Park. The campground can only be accessed by boat or foot. To get there: Boat access: Boat ramps are available at Violet Hill campground and Hearts Point picnic area. Walking/cycle access: From either end of Mining Road fire trail / Old Gibber Road fire trail follow the signs to the campground. Allow around 3 hours to walk to the campground. Road access: Unsealed roads.
